Date March 20, 2008

Well for those who have been enjoying commission from promoting ebay as an affiliate program through Commission Junction will have heard by now that Ebay is moving to a new inhouse program, where they will run it, instead of through CJ…. they will however be keeping CJ links active for one month upon launch so to make the transition over smoother

So for people using their straight links on their sites or using one of the many Ebay Scripts out there such as

PHPBayPro ( One I use on several of my Sites, also they are well aware of the changes )

Press Release

SAN JOSE, Calif.,– March 17, 2008 – Today eBay unveiled the eBay Partner Network, a new global affiliate program for publishers driving traffic to eBay. Officially launching on April 1st, 2008, the eBay Partner Network will be eBay’s new in-house affiliate network, designed to more fully align the programs across eBay’s global properties and give affiliates expanded access to revenue opportunities across its platforms.

As part of the move to an in-house affiliate network, eBay and Half.com will no longer run their affiliate programs through ValueClick’s Commission Junction platform. eBay’s Tradera AB, ProStores, Inc, Reseller Marketplace, Media Marketplace, eBay Stores and StubHub will not be affected and will continue their relationship with Commission Junction. eBay affiliates working with other platforms including, Affilinet and TradeDoubler will not be affected.

Affected eBay and Half.com affiliates will be required to move their affiliate links over to the eBay Partner Network by May 1st, 2008. eBay will continue its valued partnership with ValueClick’s technology division, Mediaplex, for ad serving, tracking and other custom projects. More information on the transition process for eBay affiliates, as well as the eBay programs affected, can be found at http://affiliates.ebay.com.

Florida Vacation

Date March 18, 2008

Just returned from a well deserved and needed break down in Florida.. took the kids to Disney, hung out with my wife and kids at the Lighthouse Resort and Spa in Orlando and the SandPearl hotel in Clearwater right on the beach… It was nice to get away from the snow of Canada :)

If your staying in Clearwater go check out the Sandpearl, they really look after the guests.. its the first hotel i have gone in where they give you champagne when you check in.. crazy stuff.. but ill have some ;)

View from our Room

Probably the best shot, the bird flew in just as I took it

If your staying in Orlando I highly recommend checking out the Lighthouse it really is a gorgeous place, ive stayed in nice places but this was definately hard to top, if i get a chance ill show you the video of the insides as the pics dont do it justice…we had a grandview room which overlooked the lake and disney.. you could see the fireworks at night from our balcony.

If you like that there are a number of really great products by Joe Vitale that I recommend you read or listen to on audio such as..

The Key - This was definately one of the best audios I have listened to by Joe, he really dives into a lot of things related to the process of attracting into your life through thoughts, feelings and actions, by clearing blockages of self sabotaging beliefs.

Zero limits - Quite a story which takes you behind the scenes of a case where apparently an entire criminally mental ward was cured through the use of HO’OPONOPONO an hawaiin method…

Upload Video to Multiple Video Web sites for Free

Date December 27, 2007

I was recently searching around for a way to distribute my videos to multiple video sharing sites, quickly and easily without having to do them one at a time through the video site itself.

I came across a number of paid services, paid software and then I stumbled across 2 completely free services that you can join that let you take your new video and in one go it will upload and distribute it to various well known video sharing websites

Here are the 2 Services.

1. TubeMogul - This company lets you open a free account they then let you upload to youtube, metacafe, myspace, yahoo, revver, aol video, daily motion, brightcove and 3 more places which you can choose if you know the publisher URL. They also provide tracking statistics in the form of charts all this data you can export to excel aswell.

tubemogul

2. Vidmetrix They do pretty much the same thing as Tubemogul in allowing you to uload to youtube, myspace, metacafe, google, yahoo, revver and veoh ( not sure if you can add more of your own choice never signed up for this one I signed up to tubemogul ) They also provide statistics through charts.

videometrix

Now if you dont want to go through an online service and provide them with your login information from each of the places you want to upload too and you want to reach a wider video audience you can do this through the use of a piece of software

You can use some software that is out there which is called Video Upload Pro it costs $147

With video Upload Pro you can upload to 18 different video websites

Hope that helps.. enjoy!

Google Digg Experiment

Seems google are experimenting again this is no surprise of course as they are forever bring new things and trying new things and buying things.

Well I didnt think it would be long before they started trying to see how they could integrate a way for people to vote content that appears in their search engine well check out their DIGG style approach they are playing around with

Its going to be a bit like Stumble where users can say if they like or dislike what they find

While I can see some benefits to this, It makes me wonder how they are going to balance this with sites that link into pages.

I mean everyones taste and opinions vary from each other.. what one person might think is interesting and good another might think its crap and boring… so what are they likely to do.. yep.. hit dont like it

Go check it out
