Blog Ranking Well even with No Links In

Ok a while back i mentioned that I had created a blog to basically blog and ping some pages from a site that I wanted to get found ( Financial Site )

Anyway I was optimizing that site for certain keywords.. and while that site isnt up there yet THE BLOG IS

I think it was about 1 or 2 weeks I checked and it was #4 on yahoo for the phrase today I checked and its #2..

so im getting traffic through it but i would have prefered to bung some adsense on it and I totally forgot LOL.. ( well I never had any intention of that blog being seen it was purely for getting my other site in the index) anway interesting to see that its ranking well even though it has NO links pointing to it.

The phrase is financial term not hugely searched on but its still searched on a fair amount..

Also I dont add anything to that blog anymore it has only a few pages on it.
